I was referred by another attorney to Gencarelli & Rimassa, as among other areas of practice, they are experts in medical malpractice. After reviewing my Complaint carefully, Mr. Rimassa determined that I had a viable case. He also had no problem representing me in Warren County, although his office is in Bergen County.As things progressed, Mr. Rimassa kept me well informed at all times, advising me throughout the whole process about what to expect in the proceedings, including depositions, and the timeline of litigation. He was very precise in the information he needed from me and was always prompt in answering my telephone calls and e—mails. Mr. Rimassa was very professional and extremely astute, but he also had compassion for my situation.At one point, the defendant’s attorney offered to go to mediation to potentially settle the case outside of a court trial. Mr. Rimassa tirelessly fought for me in mediation until a resolution was reached that I found very satisfactory. Even after the fact, he continued to work on my behalf to negotiate with my secondary insurance to lower its lien, and was ultimately successful.It was obvious from the start that Mr. Rimassa knows his stuff and is a fighter, going above and beyond for me. I highly recommend both him and his law firm!

Melissa is a great attorney. She has represented our family in several issues that were very critical to the future well being of our financial stability. After receiving a judgement from the Office of the Attorney General Division of Consumer Affairs, I proceeded to try and convert it to lien. Overwhelmed with researching case law and venue to file paperwork with the proper court, I decided to get help even though the matter was a summary action and thought it was going to be easy. While researching statutes in AVVO, I came across Melissa's profile which included debt collection. She sat down with me and reviewed all of my paperwork. She prepared all my documents and filings. Throughout the whole process while working my case I felt very comfortable. She embraced my case as if she knew me my entire life. I was especially impressed with knowing this firm doesn't just work 9 to 5 , but would get calls and messages on evenings and weekends tirelessly working on my behalf.The attorney for contractor attempted to make the matter more difficult than need be which in turn made more unnecessary work for her (sorry Melissa) and increase his billing time for his client. Ultimately, through due diligence and her work she successfully had my Judgement confirmed and recovered almost all of my legal fees. Gencarelli + Rimassa= RESULTS! We could not be happier! There are some attorneys who claim your biggest mistake could be your choice in representation. MY biggest mistake was not finding them sooner. Thank you Melissa and Nick!
